Kerala Overview Tours (13 Nights, 14 Days)
Kovalam-Kanya Kumari-Kumarakom-Thekkady-Munnar-Cochin-Marari-Cochin.
Day 01 Trivandrum and Kovalam
Arrive at Trivandrum .You will be received at the airport/station and taken to Kovalam, the beach resort of South India enriched with the greenery of coconut palms and laced with golden sands. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day you are free to relax or enjoy your day at the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 Trivandrum and Kovalam
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum. This guided tour will take you to Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Horse Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Travancore Maharajas and now converted into a museum, Zoo, Sri Chitra Art Gallery and Napier museum. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 03 Kanyakumari and Kovalam
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari, en-route visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Maharajas of Travancore. From there proceed to the Sucheendram Temple, famous for it's stone architect and then continue to Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of India and also a pilgrimage centre. On arrival, proceed for sightseeing. This includes Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Memorial and Kumari Amman Temple. Back to Kovalam for overnight stay.
Day 04 Alleppey
Morning proceed to Alleppey, a district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travellers from across the world. This backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. With the Arabian Sea on the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it and by virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala. On arrival check into a traditional house boat. Cruise through the backwaters and stay overnight on the boat.
Day 05 Kumarakom
After breakfast, the house boat will drop you at a beautiful backwater resort on the lake in Kumarakom. Check into the resort. A boat ride into the countryside and a visit to the bird sanctuary could follow. If you are adventurous, you can indulge in water sports such as wind sailing & water skiing. You can take a country canoe out into the quiet lake or opt for a massage. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 06 Thekkady
After breakfast, drive to Periyar (Thekkady), enjoy a scenic journey through mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular waterfalls and delightful trekking trails until you reach your hideaway here. On arrival check into the hotel, refresh yourself and take an evening boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 Thekkady
After breakfast you can take a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar lake extends a life times chance to spot exotic wildlife in it's natural habitat. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 08 Munnar
In the morning, head for Munnar a place that is called "nature lover's paradise". On arrival check into the hotel. After lunch, proceed for a walk through the tea plantations where one can feel the immense beauty of nature and witness the tea gardens spread over hundreds of kilometers. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09 Munnar
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing starting with Eravikulam National Park, the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr-mountain goat of South India. You can have a far view of Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India, which towers over 2695 meters. Also visit Devikulam. This serene township is a nature lover's retreat. Trout fishing on the Devikulam lake is a major attraction. Stop at Mattupetty Lake & Dam which is located at a short distance from the Indo Swiss Livestock Project which provides boating facilities. The Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake are other attractions in the vicinity. Evening is free for shopping at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 Cochin
Proceed for Cochin in the morning. On arrival at the "Queen of The Arabian Sea", check into the hotel. You are free to relax in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a Kathakali dance show and sunset tour. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 Cochin
After breakfast, proceed for city tour. Visit St Francis Church which was originally built out of wood in 1503 and thus earning fame as the oldest European Church in India ( Vasco de Gama was buried here). Visit the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and continue with shopping at the Jew Town through the cobbled streets. In the evening you are free for shopping in the main areas. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12 Marari
Leave for Marari, a beautiful location for exploring the marvellous backwaters where the tranquility and the stunning scenery gives the feeling of being transported back in time and leaves one with a superbly relaxing and inspiring experience. Activities here include cycling, beach activities, visit to a fishing village and coir factory. This place also offers a chance to practice yoga, country canoe rides etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 13 Marari
Continue the stay at Marari.
Day 14 Departure
Transfer to Cochin Railway Station/Airport.
