Honeymoon Tours (13 Nights, 14 Days)
Day 01 Trivandrum and Kovalam
Arrive at Trivandrum. You will be received at the airport / station and transferred to Kovalam, the beach resort of South India enriched with the greenery of coconut palms and laced with golden sands. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day you are free to relax or enjoy your day at the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 Trivandrum and Kovalam
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum. This guided tour will take you to Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Horse Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Travancore Maharajas and now converted into a museum, Zoo, Sri Chitra Art Gallery and Napier museum. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 03 Kanyakumari
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari, en-route visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Maharajas of Travancore. Thereafter continue to Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of India. Proceed for sightseeing at the cape, which includes Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Memorial, etc. Watch the sunset at Kanyakumari, a magnificent site. Return back to Kovalam and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 Kovalam/ Ponmudi
Relax at the beach. Overnight stay at the resort. As an option, you can plan for a day trip to Ponmudi and enjoy a relaxed day at this picturesque location.
Day 05 Alleppey
Morning proceed to Alleppey, a district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travellers from across the world. This backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. With the Arabian Sea on the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it and by virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala. On arrival check into a traditional house boat. Cruise through the backwaters and stay overnight on the boat.
Day 06 Kumarakom
After breakfast, the house boat will drop you at a beautiful backwater resort on the lake in Kumarakom. Check into the resort. A boat ride into the countryside and a visit to the bird sanctuary could follow. If you are adventurous, you can indulge in water sports such as wind sailing & water skiing. You can take a country canoe out into the quiet lake or opt for a massage. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 07 Kumarakom
After breakfast, continue at the resort which offers exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing, angling and swimming. Outdoor activities include - Water sports, evening sunset cruise, walk through a bird sanctuary, country canoe ride through narrow canals & beautiful villages. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 08 Thekkady
After breakfast, drive to Periyar (Thekkady). A scenic journey through the mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular waterfalls and delightful trekking trails form the access to your hideaway here. On arrival check into hotel, freshen up and go for an evening boat cruise along the lake to watch wild animals. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 09 Thekkady
After Breakfast you can set out on a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar lake extends a life time's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 10 Thekkady
Drive to Kumily, a plantation town, closely associated with Thekkady, situated on the outskirts of the Periyar sanctuary. Kumuli is an important place for shopping and to watch spice trading. Pandikuzhi with its picturesque spectrum of exotic flora, fauna and gurgling streams and Vandanmedu, one of the world's largest auction centres for cardamom are other major tourist spots. A walk through the sprawling cardamom plantations of Vandanmedu is a heady experience. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 11 Marari
Leave for Marari, a beautiful location for exploring the marvellous backwaters where the tranquility and the stunning scenery gives the feeling of being transported back in time and leaves one with a superbly relaxing and inspiring experience. Activities here include cycling, beach activities, visit to a fishing village and coir factory. This place also offers a chance to practice yoga, country canoe rides etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 12 Marari
Marari offers endless miles of superb sand beaches backed by swaying palms, virgin territory where you can experience the local charm and traditional Kerala hospitality at its best. Spend sometime on the beach or you can try one of the many activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13 Marari and Cochin
In the morning, proceed to Cochin for a city tour covering Jewish Synagogue-Built in 1568 the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth stands, adorned by hundreds of exquisite hand-painted Chinese tiles in blue and white. St Francis Church, originally built out of wood in 1503 and thus earning fame as the oldest European Church in India (Vasco de Gama was buried here). Dutch Palace - As you climb it's stone steps, you enter a different world of Palanquins and heraldry, jewels and rich murals. Walk around the cobbled streets. In the evening you are free for shopping. Overnight stay at the resort (Marari).
Day 14 Departure
Transfer to Cochin Railway Station/Airport to connect Train/Flight for your return journey.
