Beach Holidays (11 Nights, 12 Days)
Day 01 Trivandrum and Kovalam
Arrive at Trivandrum. You will be received at the airport / station and transferred to Kovalam the beach resort of South India, enriched with the greenery of Coconut Palms and laced with golden sands. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day you are free to relax at the beach. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 Trivandrum and Kovalam
After breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing of Trivandrum. This tour will take you to Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Horse Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Travancore Maharajas now converted into a museum, Zoo, Sri Chitra Art Gallery and Napier museum. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 03 Kanyakumari
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari, en-route visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, the magnificent wooden palace constructed by the Maharajas of Travancore. Thereafter continue to Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of India. Proceed for sightseeing at the cape, which includes Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Memorial, etc. Watch the sunset at Kanyakumari, a magnificent site. Return back to Kovalam and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 Kovalam/Ponmudi
Continue to relax at Kovalam, or can opt for a trip to Ponmudi, located 915 m above sea level and an idyllic hill resort with narrow, winding pathways and cool, green, wooded environs. Along with a variety of beautiful mountain flowers, exotic butterflies, small rivulets, springs and the deer park near by, this hill station also has excellent trekking trails. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 05 Varkala
Depart Kovalam for Varkala, a seaside resort and spa and an important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. Spend time at the Papanasham Beach, visit a 2000year old Janardhanaswamy temple and the Nature Care Centre. Overnight stay at Varkala.
Day 06 Alleppey
Morning proceed to Alleppey a district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travellers from across the world, this backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. With the Arabian Sea on the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it, By virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala.On arrival check into a traditional houseboat, cruise through the back waters and stay overnight on the boat.
Day 07 Kumarakom
After breakfast disembark houseboat at a backwater resort in Kumarakom situated on the Vembanad lake. The resort offers a comfortable accommodation and exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing, angling and swimming. Additional facilities include - water sports, evening sunset cruise, a walk through a bird sanctuary, country canoe rides through canals and the beautiful villages. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 08 Cochin
In the morning drive to Cochin. On arrival, check into hotel. In the evening enjoy a Kathakali dance show/Sunset Tour. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09 Cochin
After breakfast, proceed for city tour covering Jewish Synagogue-built in 1568 the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth stands, adorned by hundreds of exquisite hand-painted Chinese tiles in blue and white. St Francis Church, originally built out of wood in 1503 and thus earning fame as the oldest European church in India (Vasco de Gama was buried here). Dutch Palace-As you climb it's stone steps, you enter a different world of Palanquins and heraldry, jewels and rich murals. Walk around on the cobbled streets. You are free for shopping in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 Marari
Leave Cochin for Marari, best location for exploring the marvellous backwaters, where the tranquility, the stunning scenery and the feeling of being transported back in time, make it a superbly relaxing and inspiring experience. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 11 Marari
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing and indulging in activities. Activities include cycling, a visit to a fishing village coir factory, country canoe rides etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 12 Departure
Transfer to Cochin Railway Station / Airport to connect Train / Flight for your return journey.
